Then Samson prayed to the Lord, “Sovereign Lord, remember me. Please, God, strengthen me just once more… Judges 16:28 (NIV)
As we see from the life of Samson, he made many mistakes. He made a vow to be set apart to God and missed out on following each of the basic instructions he was given. These mistakes cost him the strength God granted him and the ability to fulfill his entire purpose. He ended up being captured by his enemy, tortured, and publicly humiliated during a celebration. At his lowest point Samson remembered God, repented, and God forgave him.
No matter how bad we fail or how much sin we have in our life, God has made a way for us to be forgiven. All we have to do is ask. Each time we fall down, when we ask for forgiveness, God grants our request. God’s forgiveness begins with His gift of salvation. Once the free gift is accepted, He enables us to live a life without regrets. If you still need the free gift of salvation in your life so your future can be better than your past, click here.
If we claim that we’re free of sin, we’re only fooling ourselves. A claim like that is errant nonsense. On the other hand, if we admit our sins—make a clean breast of them—he won’t let us down; he’ll be true to himself. He’ll forgive our sins and purge us of all wrongdoing. 1 John 1:8-10 (MSG)
