There’s More Than What You See

And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever- the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you. John 14:16-17 NIV

When the Holy Spirit descends as the Counselor (who will be with us forever), it is a way for God to be with all of us always. What we see in our day-to-day lives is not all there is. We are not alone in our struggles, for the Spirit (Holy Spirit) is there to help and guide us when we turn and trust in Jesus.  There are many benefits of having the Holy Spirit in our life.  The Bible tells us that the Holy Spirit will guide us into all truth, comforts us so we can comfort others, reminds us of what God said to us in His Word (the Bible), gives us power, etc.  God (who lives in us) is with us all the time.

Pray: Lord, I thank you for giving me the Holy Spirit. I also thank you that you are with me all of the time.  Lord, I ask that you help me to recognize your guidance and help me to never forget your promises that you have given me in the Bible.  Help me in the areas where I need assistance and bring comfort to my life.  Allow me to fully understand that I am not alone and that you are with me always. Amen.
