Refocusing Our Schedules

“Does a young woman forget her jewelry, a bride her wedding ornaments? Yet my people have forgotten me, days without number.” Jeremiah 2:32 (NIV)

Our lives are very full with work, family, hobbies, friends, and more. We have busy schedules that keep us going from morning until night, but do we take the time to spend some time with God? While being involved in many things can be good and enjoyable, we must also take time to pray, read scripture, be with other Christians and spend time focused on God. A busy schedule can wear us out if we do not take the time to recharge both physically and spiritually.

Consider the ways you spend time with God. Are they superficial (brief) or focused? Do you reliably spend time with God? If you want to change your habits, consider a way to do so. Schedule some time to focus on God and find ways to make that a regular part of your life.
