“And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.” John 14:13-14 (NIV)

The Bible promises that whatever we ask in Jesus name, God will do it. But this is not a blank check to ask for whatever you want. Our prayers should line up with what God wants. The more time we spend in prayer, the more we will know God’s heart. We will know what he wants to do in the world around us and for the people we meet each day. We will understand what he wants to accomplish, and our prayers will start to mirror his desires for the world. As we follow his lead, he will answer our prayers. Focus on God and his kingdom, and he will work out the rest.

Take Action: Spend time today asking God about what he wants you to pray about.
