His anger lasts only a moment, but his kindness lasts for a lifetime. Crying may last for a night, but joy comes in the morning. Psalm 30:5 (NCV)
Let’s be honest. Like any good parent, God (our Father) isn’t always pleased with our actions. He wants the absolute best for us, but gives us the ability to make our own choices. He provided us with the Bible for instruction and guidance so we can live according to His design (which is the optimal way to live).
The great news is that even when He is displeased as mentioned in the Bible verse above, it only lasts for a moment. So, don’t allow the enemy (satan), or anyone else for that matter, to make you believe that God is still fuming about something you did years ago. In contrast, the Bible tells us that His kindness (and love for us) lasts for a lifetime. How awesome is it to know that God loves you and will continue to love you for the rest of your life!
The last part of that verse tells us that joy will come in the morning. Even if you are experiencing major stress, trauma, hurt or loss in your life, the Bible tells us that joy, peace, and happiness are just around the corner. So, be confident in the fact that brighter days are ahead!
