For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7 (NKJV)
Start now! If you’ve been procrastinating, now is the time to take steps toward your goal. Maybe you’ve been thinking about starting a business, going back to school, starting an exercise plan, pursuing your dream job, etc. Regardless of the goal, it’s critical that you start now.
The verse above tells us that fear does not come from God. Fear will always tell you that you can’t. It will always give you a million reasons as to why it won’t work. Fear will tell you that the conditions aren’t right for you to start. Here’s a NEWSFLASH – conditions will never be perfect before you start anything. So, ignore fear! This verse tells us that God gave us power (to accomplish what we need to accomplish). Seek God’s guidance, clearly define your goal, and take steps each day toward that goal.
Your homework today is to take one step toward your goal. Do not let the day end without taking that first step. If you’ve already taken a step, decide what your second step will be. Be consistent and continue to take daily steps until you reach your goal.
What is your first step? Start today!
