God saw all that he had made, and it was very good… Genesis 1:31 (NIV)
It’s very easy to look at other people and compare ourselves to them. We begin to criticize ourselves as we analyze whether we measure up to them. We will typically look at their material possessions (car, house, etc.) or their social media timeline as we compare their life to ours. It can be frustrating as it may seem that they have a near perfect life, family, home…….and you struggle just to wake the kids up each morning!
Everything that God made is good. You are a creation of God. He (God) loves you and has a plan for your life. The snapshots that we see of the life of others (such as on social media) are merely the highlights of their life. As you dig deeper into their life, you will see that they have flaws and struggles like everyone else. So, stop being so critical of yourself and where you should be at this stage of your life. Rest in the fact that God loves you, He will strengthen you when you need help, and He wants to use you to make an impact in the world around you. Share this post with someone today!
