A hard worker has plenty of food, but a person who chases fantasies has no sense. Proverbs 12:11 (NLT)
Line up your priorities. Remember the metaphor of the plate spinner with 30 different plates spinning at once. Some start to wobble and we must try harder to keep it all going.
It is important to differentiate between what is urgent and what is important. Some things appear urgent but are not important. Pastor Jeff encouraged us to major in the majors.
Death is one area a lot of people prepare for, but few prepare for life. Few people have a written life plan with an end goal in mind and the steps to get there. The top 2% of our nation really plan and know where they’re going.
People will live life by priority or live life by pressure. If you don’t set your agenda, others will.
Pray: Dear God – There is so much resemblance between life and spinning plates. I relate to chasing things and putting out fires without really considering what is urgent versus important. Please help me in this area. Help me to prepare for living more than dying. Help me to align my priorities with Yours. Equip me to plan and I welcome You to determine my steps. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
