Say Yes to Jesus

Say Yes to Jesus

Who is Jesus?
“For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him. John 3:16-17 (NLT)

Jesus is the Son of God.  Because of God’s unconditional love, He sent His only Son (Jesus) to die on the cross for our sins.  Jesus was born from a virgin (Mary), lived a life without sin, was crucified (no one could kill Jesus – He willingly laid down His life for our sins), and He rose from the dead just as He stated that He would.

Why do I need Jesus?
For the sin of this one man, Adam, caused death to rule over many. But even greater is God’s wonderful grace and his gift of righteousness, for all who receive it will live in triumph over sin and death through this one man, Jesus Christ.  Romans 5:17 (NLT)

We are all sinners in need of a Savior.  Sin entered the world through Adam (first person created in the Bible).  As a result of that sin, there was separation between God and man.  In order to remove the separation between God and man, God sent His Son to die (as payment) on the cross for the sins of the world.

How do I accept Jesus into my life?
If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.  Romans 10:9 (NLT)

There’s nothing that you can do to earn salvation or access to heaven (such as doing good deeds).  Salvation is a free gift from the Father that you receive through Jesus.  Accepting Jesus into your life is easy.  The Bible states that if you declare with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.  That’s it!  Use the simple prayer below to accept Jesus now:

Jesus, I need you in my life.  Forgive me for all of my sins and mess-ups.  I’m tired of doing life alone and I need your help.  Come into my heart and be Lord over my life.  I believe in my heart that you are Lord, that you died for my sins, and that you rose from the dead. Thank you Lord for forgiving me and saving me.  AMEN
