The Lord God had said to Abram, “Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you. I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.” Genesis 12:1-3 (NIV)
In our walk with God we may not understand exactly where we are going. It’s okay to not understand where God is taking you and to have questions. What’s most important is to not give up and continue to be obedient to what God is telling you. God blesses our obedience.
When God spoke to Abram and told him to flee his country, Abram had no idea where he was going or even why he was going. Abram didn’t even know what the land looked like that God told him to go to, but he did know one thing: he would be blessed! The same goes for us. Wherever God leads us, He will be with us and He will bless us. It’s His promise!
