We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love. Romans 5:3-5 NLT
This week during the message we were challenged to write things down. Keep a record of what happens in the tough times of life. In doing so, we can look back and see purpose in our pain. The biggest revelation will be how God brought you through those times.
When we consider the Bible, it is a compilation of lots of small stories pointing to God’s big story. It’s a reflection of many people who let God into their pain. God was faithful to bring them through those hopeless moments. God will do the same for you.
God will write the rest of your story.
ACTION: TRACK YOUR STORY. Consider beginning to journal when life is hard and the pain is great. Always record the outcome. This journal will build your faith and trust in God.
