Honor the Lord with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce. Then he will fill your barns with grain, and your vats will overflow with good wine. Proverbs 3:9-10 (NLT)
So whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. 1 Corinthians 10:31 (NLT)
When we decide to refocus our lives on how God intends for us to live, there are several important areas of our lives to consider. Two of those areas are our interests and our finances. What we choose to do with our time and our money clearly show what our priorities are. We are called to give the best of ourselves to God, but often that can be difficult to do. Our treasure is connected to our hearts and our interests are as well. If we want God to be a priority in our lives, we must find a way to prioritize Him in how we spend our time and how we use our treasure.
Today, reflect on how you prioritize your money and your time. What does it say about you? Is it what you want it to be? What things would you change and how do you think you should change them? Pick one idea and try to implement it this week.
