As surely as God is faithful, our word to you does not waver between “Yes” and “No.” For Jesus Christ, the Son of God, does not waver between “Yes” and “No.” He is the one whom Silas, Timothy, and I preached to you, and as God’s ultimate “Yes,” he always does what he says. For all of God’s promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding “Yes!” And through Christ, our “Amen” (which means “Yes”) ascends to God for his glory. 2 Corinthians 1:18-20 (NLT)
“YES” is a powerful word that can change the trajectory of your life. When you ask, “God, do you really love me, do you really want a relationship with me?” His answer is always “Yes”. Does He want you to have a better relationship with your spouse? Yes. Does He want you to have a better relationship with your kids? Yes. Does He want you to have that promotion at work? Yes.
There are 7,457 promises in the Bible. All of them are God’s “YES!”
In the verse above we also see that Jesus never wavers. When God thinks about you, His opinion of you never waivers. No matter what you think, no matter what you feel, God’s love for you never waivers.
Next Steps:
Think about the areas in your life where you can say “Yes” to God. Maybe your act of obedience is to apologize to someone or forgive someone in your life. Maybe it is your time to say “Yes” to God and be baptized. How will you say “Yes” to God today?
