Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my thoughts… Psalm 139:23 (KJV)
Everything rises and falls on leadership. Right behind and the most essential part of leadership is communication. In fact, communication is so essential to leadership that without it, there is no leadership. In business, church affiliations, military endeavors, government, education, friendships, families, marriage, sports, and virtually every imaginable facet of life, you will find leadership and communication.
For Christians, God is our leader. The leadership He provides is impeccable, invincible and eternal. The communication (the Bible) is complete, undeniable and completely trustworthy (see 2 Timothy 3:16-17).
God wants to change our minds to be more like that of Christ’s. So, as we spend time reading His Word (the Bible) we learn more about the characteristics of Jesus. To be sure, we will never be completely like Him (He was absolutely perfect). But our prayer would be that we show continually more and more the love and power of Jesus Christ.
We can’t live sinless lives, die for anyone else, rise from the grave and ascend to Heaven, but out of the love that God has shown us we can certainly tell others about it.
How can you share Jesus (and what He’s done in your life) with someone today?
