Jesus came and said to them, “All power has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go and make followers of all the nations. Baptize them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Teach them to do all the things I have told you. And I am with you always, even to the end of the world.” Matthew 28:18-20 (NLV)
If you are new to the Bible, you are learning in this study that God loves you and invites you to belong to His family. God wants to be your friend and must be number 1 in your life. Sin separates us from God, but God sent Jesus to be the perfect offering for sin. Jesus didn’t stay dead, but rose from the grave and gave us the Holy Spirit to help us in life and in faith.
These truths are a great deal to process, but you are not alone. Plug into a church, read the Bible, and the Holy Spirit will help you learn and understand the truth of Christianity. You are on your way my friend.
As you are encouraged and growing in faith, be sure to tell someone about your experience. Maybe you think, “I haven’t learned that much yet,” or “I’m not a teacher.” You can share your story and the Holy Spirit will do the rest. You never know who will be in heaven because you shared your story.
The changes that will be made in your heart and life as you draw closer to God will be so powerful. Others may notice there’s something different about you. Don’t be shy to share what is happening as you journey along in your faith. Your story will touch the heart of someone else.
So, what do you do now?
Invite others on your journey of discovering faith in Jesus.
