God cannot tell lies! And so his promises and vows are two things that can never be changed. We have run to God for safety. Now his promises should greatly encourage us to take hold of the hope that is right in front of us. Hebrews 6:18 (CEV)
It is reassuring to know that God cannot lie! Every promise He has made, He has to fulfill. Every characteristic of His personality must be true. We can trust everything He has told us. We can believe that all the plans He has for us will work out.
We can trust that God loves us (1 John 4:19). We can trust that God has good plans for our future (Jeremiah 29:11). We can trust that God is on our side (Romans 8:31). We can trust that God works all things together for our good (Romans 8:28). We know all this because God cannot lie.
