Philip found Nathanael and said to him, “We have found Him of whom Moses in the law, and also the prophets, wrote—Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.” And Nathanael said to him, “Can anything good come out of Nazareth?” Philip said to him, “Come and see.” John 1:45-46 (NKJV)
Philip told Nathanael what he knew and then invited him to check out the story for himself. Philip didn’t try to convince him of who Jesus was. He didn’t push his views. He gave a gentle invitation to Nathanael for him to find out for himself.
When sharing your faith with others, you don’t have to know everything. You don’t have to be concerned that you can’t explain everything to them. All you need to do is invite them to hear the message being shared. Invite them to come and see for themselves. Who will you invite to Heritage on Easter weekend to hear the Gospel?
