Do It for the Team

Do It for the Team

“Do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others.” Philippians 2:4 (NAS)

When we are seeking to move into living for significance, we must realize that there is more to life than just ourselves. We have our families, friends, communities, and causes that we are passionate about. We must remember that we are making changes that are not only for our benefit, but for the benefit of those around us. We are not meant to live in isolation. When we involve ourselves in goals beyond our own satisfaction and success, we become much more connected to everyone around us. While it is good to keep our own interests, it is even better when we expand those interests to include others.

Consider in what ways you could expand your interests to include others. Have you ever wanted to volunteer or involve yourself with a cause or group? How could you start that? If you are involved in such things, are there areas where you would like to do more? Think about ways you can include or expand your involvement with others.
