How far has the Lord taken our sins from us? Farther than the distance from east to west! Just as parents are kind to their children, the Lord is kind to all who worship him. Psalm 103:12-13 (CEV)
We have all made mistakes. Some of them are large and known by others, while some are small and only known to us in the secret places of our own heart. When God opens our eyes to our sin, we are given the opportunity to ask for His forgiveness or continue in our actions. The better choice is to ask for forgiveness.
Sometimes we forget what a loving God we serve. When we ask for God’s forgiveness, He forgives us of our sin. But not only does He forgive us, He also forgets our sins. He removes them as far as the east is from the west. Heading east, you will never go west. Heading west, you will never go east. Once God forgives us, He never remembers our sins and He won’t hold them against us. We should learn to do the same with ourselves.
