So then let’s also run the race that is laid out in front of us, since we have such a great cloud of witnesses surrounding us. Let’s throw off any extra baggage, get rid of the sin that trips us up. Hebrews 12:1 (CEB)
We are in a race to accomplish all that God has called us to do in our lifetime. God’s desire is for us all to finish strong. But sins in our life, even small ones, can drag us down and delay us. They prevent us from running full strength as we carry the extra load.
