Go With Me

Go With Me

Then Moses said to him, “If your Presence does not go with us, do not send us up from here. How will anyone know that you are pleased with me and with your people unless you go with us? What else will distinguish me and your people from all the other people on the face of the earth?” And the Lord said to Moses, “I will do the very thing you have asked, because I am pleased with you and I know you by name.” Exodus 33:15 – 17 (NIV)

Moses had just been given a large assignment – to lead the nation of Israel. They had recently left Egypt and were going to the land God promised. Moses asked God for one thing in return – he didn’t want them to travel without God’s presence going with them. This is what made them different than any other nation. God was pleased and promised to go with them.

We don’t have to live life alone. Each of us has been given an assignment by God. He is always willing to go with us to accomplish the assignment He has given us. All we have to do is ask: “If your presence does not go with us, don’t send us from here.”
