“Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure.” Ephesians 1:4-5 (NLT)
We read about the creation of the world in Genesis 1. God spent days creating heaven, earth, flowers, trees, and animals. It seems as if mankind is just a few statements in the creation story. But God had you in mind before he created the world. He planned to love you even before you were made. God formed you in your mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13). God made you so that you could spend eternity as part of his family. He created you to be with Him as part of his eternal family.
Prayer: God, thank you for loving me. Thank you that you loved me before you created the world. Help me show others the love you show me and bring them into your family. In Jesus name. Amen.
