Then he said, “Don’t be afraid, Daniel. Since the first day you began to pray for understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your request has been heard in heaven. I have come in answer to your prayer. But for twenty-one days the spirit prince of the kingdom of Persia blocked my way. Then Michael, one of the archangels, came to help me, and I left him there with the spirit prince of the kingdom of Persia”. Daniel 10:12-13 (NLT)
Some of us have been standing in faith for something. It could be a change in our marriage or salvation for a lost loved one. It could be a breakthrough in our finances or a healing for our physical bodies. Some of us are praying for reconciliation with a family member or close friend. We could have been praying for weeks, months or even years for this situation to change and not see any difference. But just because you don’t see change doesn’t mean things aren’t happening.
When a farmer plants a seed, he may not see anything for months. But the farmer keeps tending to the seed knowing that someday, it will produce a harvest. Our prayers are the same. We can keep sowing seeds of faith with our prayers. We don’t know how or when God will answer us, but we can know that He is faithful and hears us when we pray. There may be an unseen battle going on that requires us to keep going and praying in faith. Believe that you have been heard.
Prayer:
God, thank you that you hear me when I pray. Thank you for the encouragement to keep praying even when I can’t see the results. I choose to walk in faith knowing that you are a good father who knows what is best for me. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
