Harvest Goodness

Harvest Goodness

“Those who are peacemakers will plant seeds of peace and reap a harvest of goodness.” James 3:18 (NLT)

It’s not always easy to live in peace. At times we can easily be offended. Other times we can unknowingly hurt someone else’s feelings. As we go through each day, we need to plant seeds of peace. We can say a kind word to the server when we go out to dinner. We can smile at the cashier helping us as the grocery store. We can choose to speak kindly to our family even after we had a bad day.

As we sow these seeds of peace, they will begin to grow. We will start to see goodness flow back into our lives. We can start reaping smiles back from others. We will reap kind words from others. By planting seeds of peace in others, the seeds will grow in others. Then others will start planting their own seeds of peace.

  • Where can you sow seeds of peace today?
  • Is there someone you know that could use peace in their lives?
  • What can you do to help them?
