Let those who love the Lord hate evil… Psalm 97:10 (NIV)
God is love (1 John 4:8). He has called us to show His love to the people around us, but it’s not enough to love people. We also need to hate evil. We need to stand up and speak out against evil. We need to hate it enough that it makes us want to do something about it. God hated evil and took action by sending His Son. Now it’s time for you to take action.
Prayer:
God, I choose to hate evil. Help my actions line up with your Word. Show me the areas of my life where I have allowed evil to slip by unnoticed. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
