“Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too. You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had.” Philippians 2:3-5 (NLT)
It is easy to focus on ourselves or try to impress others. But God calls us to a different standard. He wants us to serve others instead of thinking of ourselves. He wants us to serve others out of our love for him. He wants us to think of others but not with a selfish perspective. We can be on the lookout for ways to meet the needs of others.
