“Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation, for through him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can’t see— such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world. Everything was created through him and for him.” Colossians 1:15-16 (NLT)
While the evidence of God is all around us, we normally don’t get to see him face to face. Moses asked to see God and only God to see his back (Exodus 33:18-23). When Jesus came to earth, that changed. He was born in human form. He was still God but in a human body that could easily interact with us. No longer was God invisible to us. We could see him face to face. We could talk to him face to face instead of using an intermediary. The God who was invisible is now visible.
Prayer: God, thank you for making yourself visible to me. Help me to share the good news that we can have a personal relationship with you. Bring someone across my path today in need of your love and salvation. In Jesus name. Amen.
