“And this is the way to have eternal life—to know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, the one you sent to earth. I brought glory to you here on earth by completing the work you gave me to do.” John 17:3-4 (NLT)
Jesus paid the price for us to spend eternity in heaven with him. But he still has work for us to do on earth. We need to reflect his kingdom on the earth. We are his ambassadors (2 Corinthians 5:20). We are here to help bring heaven to earth. We are to be lights in the dark and the salt of the earth. Our life with Jesus starts now and lasts forever.
Prayer: God, thank you for saving me and giving me a purpose. Show me what it means to be your ambassador in the earth. Help me to represent your kingdom well. In Jesus name. Amen.
