Just as a body, though one has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ. 1 Corinthians 12:12 (NIV)
Our physical bodies are made up of so many intricate parts; it would take a very long time to name each and every one of them. All of the separate parts of our body make up the entirety of our one body. If we didn’t have one part, our body would be incomplete. It would not function like we need it to!
The same applies to the body of Christ. There are many Christians throughout the world, but all of us make up one body of Christ. Without one person, the body of Christ is incomplete. Each and every one of us is needed for the full body of Christ to function, thrive and be all that it can be. If one person is missing, our collective body is not the same. Together, WE are the body of Christ.
