More Than A Conquerer

More Than A Conquerer

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? …No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. Romans 8:35-37 (NIV)

A conqueror gains by fighting or winning by force. They have gone to battle and become the victor over their enemy. They have worked hard to enjoy the spoils of war.

We are more than conquerors. We are able to enjoy the spoils of war for a battle that was fought by someone else – Jesus. He paid the price on the cross to defeat the enemy. No matter what trouble comes our way, Jesus already won the battle on our behalf. We just need to stand firm and follow God’s leading to win every battle and overcome the enemy in our lives.
