Never Make Excuses

Never Make Excuses

The lazy man is full of excuses. “I can’t go to work!” he says. “If I go outside, I might meet a lion in the street and be killed!”  Proverbs 22:13 (TLB)

It is easy to make excuses for why you can’t do something.  And sometimes our excuses aren’t even realistic. Think of how the world would be if everyone made excuses.  We are called to make a difference.  We are called to be salt and light in the world (Matthew 5:13-16).  Stop making excuses and start being the change the world needs.

Prayer:
God, forgive me for making excuses.  Show me the areas where I need to stop making excuses and start stepping into the person you want me to be.  In Jesus’ name.  Amen.
