This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun! 2 Corinthians 5:17 (NLT)
Each of us have made mistakes in our past. There are things we wish we could have done differently. There may be things we wish we would have done but didn’t. We tend to look at the things we have done in our past and think it limits us to what we could do in the future. We think that because we made mistakes God can’t fully use us.
There’s good news! Through Jesus we can leave behind the old life. We can forgive ourselves for our mistakes just as God has forgiven us. God has the power to change our past so we can live to the fullness He has for us in our future.
Prayer: God, thank you that you have the power to change my past. Show me the areas where I need to ask for your forgiveness. Show me the areas where I need to forgive myself. Help me to be all that you have called me to be. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
