Refocus on God

Refocus on God

Come let us bow down in worship… before the Lord our Maker. Psalm 95:6 (NIV)

Life should reflect work, play, and worship.  Adults must live their lives so that children and young people will know what truly matters.  Life is not just work and play.  Work and play alone leave people empty.

Worship [connecting with God] satisfies our souls and deepens our relationship with our Creator.  Time with God makes living life more purposeful and meaningful.

What good is it for a man to gain the whole world, yet forfeit his soul?  What can a man give in exchange for his soul?  Mark 8:36-37 (NIV)

Jesus says:

“Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”  Matthew 11:28-29 (NLT)

As Christians, we should recognize that God can do more in 6 days than we can do in 7.

The best recipe for rest, peace, and satisfaction in life is 5 days of work, 1 day with family, and 1 day spent with God.

A life lived with work, play, and worship is a life well-lived!

Pray:  Dear God – Please help me to trust You for all my needs. Help me to trust You with work, deadlines and finances.  Help me to believe that You can do more with 6 days than I can do with all 7.  Help me to make Your priority of rest, time with family, and time with You my priority too.  Thank you, God, that You thought of everything, so I could live a life that honors You.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
