Test yourselves to make sure you are solid in the faith. Don’t drift along taking everything for granted. Give yourselves regular checkups. You need firsthand evidence, not mere hearsay, that Jesus Christ is in you. Test it out. If you fail the test, do something about it. 2 Corinthians 13:5 (MSG)
The Bible tells us to test ourselves and look for firsthand evidence. As we examine our lives, we should see evidence of our faith. Even though things may not always go the way we want or expect, we can still trust God’s plan for our life. Our faith should be visible not only to us, but those watching us. Just like leaving our fingerprints behind when we touch something, our faith should be apparent for those watching us. We should give ourselves regular faith checkups and work to improve as we grow in God. Is your faith solid?

God, thank you for reminding me to periodically check to make sure I am solid in my faith. Show me the areas where my faith is lacking. Help me to have a life filled with the evidence of my faith. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
