We are commanded to worship the Lord with all our heart and to love others as we love ourselves (Matthew 22:37-39). Worship is how we live our lives and is shown in our actions. We all have been blessed in some way and when we live a life of worship, we live a life that involves living generously to those around us. We are to enjoy the blessings we have and to give of the extra. Being intentional with our giving will help us to make the biggest difference with our time, skills, and resources. The blessings of our lives come from God and we must use those blessings to help the people around us, bringing the light of Christ even further into the world.
Ask these questions of yourself today:
Do I make time for others?
Do I use my talents to invest in others?
Do I use people to get stuff, or use my stuff to love people?
After reflecting on your answers, make a plan to take a first step or a next step in living generously.
