David said to Saul, “Let no one lose heart on account of this Philistine; your servant will go and fight him.” Saul replied, “You are not able to go out against this Philistine and fight him; you are only a young man, and he has been a warrior from his youth.” 1 Samuel 17: 32-22
Doubt can hamper us in any endeavor, but especially when faced with something that seems insurmountable. Can we really do it? How can we accomplish it when so many things seem against us? David had many doubting him yet he persevered. We may have many people doubting us, and we may doubt our own abilities, but when we find our strength in the Lord we can find a new view and a new strength in accomplishing what we have set our minds to do. We can persevere in the face of doubt like David did.
Consider how doubt may hold you back. Is it from other people? Yourself? How can you overcome doubt and move forward? Say a brief prayer for God to help you work through your doubts.
