He heals the broken-hearted and bandages their wounds. Psalm 147:3 (NIV)
We live in a broken world. As a result, there are a variety of things that can cause wounds. People are going to fail you and let you down. We can feel betrayed by family and friends. We can enter into a relationship that may result in a broken heart.
God knew that we would face struggles in the world. As such, He made a way to help us navigate the pain of the world. He does not promise we will never face problems. He promises to heal our broken hearts and bandage our wounds. We can run to Him and share our pain. We can allow Him to wash us with the water of His Word (Ephesians 5:26). We can let Him heal us from the past.
God has many ways He can heal our broken hearts and bandage our wounds. He can use His Word. He can use our friends and family. He can speak to us through a song on the radio or through something we saw on television. He can also bring healing through connecting in a small group, or by speaking to a pastor, church worker or professional counselor. Seek God today and ask Him to clearly identify the areas where you need healing. Next, ask God to give you the specific solution you need to bring healing to your life.
