Transformed in My Financial Health (Day 39)

And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19 (NIV)

The verse above tells us that God will meet all our needs according to the riches of His glory in Christ Jesus. God is more than able to provide assistance and help us in our lives.  Although this is true, there is some personal accountability on your part.  The verse tells us that God will meet your needs, not give you everything you asked for or provide for your unwise or unhealthy financial decisions.

It’s been said around Heritage that God cares more about our character than our comfort. That doesn’t imply we are meant to toil in poverty and never enjoy the fruits of our labor. God wants us to enjoy our lives, but be mindful of your priorities!  Evaluate your needs versus your wants. The ability to distinguish between the two will help set parameters for what you should be focusing on. If you’re unsure of what your needs truly are, ask God to reveal them to you. Allowing God to decide what your needs are takes the anxiety and guesswork out of your hands.
