Transformed in My Vocational Health (Day 45)

Transformed in My Vocational Health (Day 45)

The diligent find freedom in their work; the lazy are oppressed by work. Proverbs 12:24 (MSG)

There is a saying: choose a job you love and you will never have to work a day in your life.  Some people feel alive while performing their work.  They enjoy what they do from day to day.  They’ve found a job they are passionate about and their job fits with their talents, abilities and personality.  There may be things that periodically happen or individual tasks they don’t like, but overall they love their jobs.

Lazy people find working a chore.  They do not see the value in working.  They expect others to take care of them and provide for them.  They don’t enjoy spending time at their job and don’t have an interest in finding a vocation they would enjoy.

We have a choice in either finding freedom in our work or to feel oppressed by it.  We can ask God to help us find the right job for us right now.  It may not be the same place where we finish our careers, but it may be the job we need to teach us skills for the next step.  Choose to find freedom in your work today.
