Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” So we may boldly say: “The LORD is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?” Hebrews 13:5-6 (NKJV)
When we seek God, turn our lives over to Him, and search in earnest for His presence in our lives, we will discover many things about Him. God is always good. God will always reveal Himself. God’s love never fails. In these things we can always be assured. God saves us so that we can have a relationship with Him and be everything we were meant to be. When we seek Him and turn to Him, we can find the fulfillment and restoration our soul has been searching for. God gives us His blessings in order for us to turn to Him and live as He has called us to live. God never said that He just wanted us to be happy, He wants much more than that. He wants us to be in a right relationship with Him. He wants to save us, help us, guide us, and bestow blessings upon us all. Our lives will not always be easy, but with God, we can overcome anything we encounter for He shall be with us always for all of time.
Today, consider where God has helped you in the past. What times were difficult? How did God aid you? When could you see how the presence of God brought you through a trial and into blessings? Reflect on how God has strengthened you in life, prepared you for the road ahead, and revealed Himself and His goodness and love to you. What can you learn about God from these experiences? Give a prayer of thanks for these past blessings.
