Walk the Talk

Walk the Talk

A double minded man is unstable in all his ways. James 1:8 (KJV)

If you want to be a faithful father (or mother) you need to focus on proximity (overcome the distance between you and your family), transparency (your faith should be visible to your family), and integrity (walk the talk).  For more information on these topics, check out the message here.

Integrity is all about walking the talk and doing what you said you would do.  We should not be “double minded” as referenced in the verse above and we should keep our word.  Think of this in terms of commitments.  How often do we keep our commitments with our children?  Have you ever experienced a situation where you agreed to something simply to keep your kids quiet?  If you want your children to have integrity and walk the talk, then you must have integrity and walk the talk.  Everyone should follow through on their commitments.

Prayer:
Lord, help me in the areas of proximity, transparency and integrity.  Help me to walk the talk in my personal life.  Also, help me to keep the commitments that I make.  In Jesus’ name.  Amen
