God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure. Ephesians 1:5 (NLT)
We are all born into a family. We don’t choose our parents or siblings. God decides who we need in our life and places us where we need to be. Our earthly family may not be perfect. Over time we lose members of our earthly family. God decided to not only place us in our earthly family, but He chose to adopt us into His family. It was His pleasure to bring us into His family. We should spread the news that those who need a family can find their place in the family of God. We are adopted and God has more room to expand His family. God, thank you for choosing to adopt me into your family. Help me to see others who need to be adopted into your family. Give me the boldness to take action and share your love for them and let them know of your willingness to adopt them also. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
