What Are You Looking For?

What Are You Looking For?

If you search for good, you will find favor; but if you search for evil, it will find you! Proverbs 11:27 (NLT)

The Bible tells us that when we search for something, we will find it (Matthew 7:7).  You have the option (not a good option) of spending all of your time looking for evil.  As an example, this includes searching for the faults in others or searching for the mistakes you make.  The important point here is that this is not your only option.  You also have the option (the better option) of looking for the good in others.  You can focus on the things you do right and your strengths.  What are you looking for?

Prayer: God, thank you for the reminder that what I look for, I will find.  I choose to seek you.  I choose to search for good.  In Jesus’ name, Amen.
