I was hungry and you fed me, I was thirsty and you gave me a drink, I was homeless and you gave me a room… Matthew 25:35 (MSG)
Then the King will say, ‘I’m telling the solemn truth: Whenever you did one of these things to someone overlooked or ignored, that was me—you did it to me.’ Matthew 25:40 (MSG)
Here’s a simple question. If Jesus knocked on your door and said He needed help, would you help Him? Most people would probably help however they could. In verse 40 shown above, Jesus tells us that when we help someone “overlooked or ignored” (those who are vulnerable in our society), we are really helping Him. Think about that verse for a moment. How does that now change your perspective when you see someone in need (such as someone who is homeless, etc.)? What can you do today to treat someone in need like you would treat Jesus? Put action to what you read today.
