Working Together

Working Together

Two people are better than one, because they get more done by working together. If one falls down, the other can help him up. But it is bad for the person who is alone and falls, because no one is there to help. Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 (NCV)

God didn’t make humans to be alone. We operate best in the context of community where we can assist and help one another. In Romans 12:5, it states …so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. We need to be able to ask and receive help from one another when we need it most, because through Christ, we have a responsibility for one another. Sometimes we have this mentality that we can do it all ourselves, that we don’t need help, but we do. I know for myself it has never worked out with me trying to do everything myself, it’s almost impossible. It is always better to have someone to count on. Even in our toughest times, in our worst sin, we need others to rely on.

Next Steps
Start to look at those around you. Who are the people you can count on? Are you helping others when they fall?
