Be a Worker

Be a Worker

After this the Lord appointed seventy-two others and sent them two by two ahead of him to every town and place where he was about to go. He told them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.” Luke 10:1-2 (NIV)

Many of us know what it means to be busy.  We all fill our days with activities such as work, taking care of our families and spending time with friends.  All of these activities are important, but God has an even more important assignment for us.  He is looking at us to help bring in a harvest of people.  Every day we are surrounded by people who do not know what it means to be in a relationship with God.  They do not know that He (Jesus) chose to die on the cross for their sins rather than spend eternity without them.  Are you willing to be a worker who helps harvest the field and connects people with Christ?

Prayer:
God, thank you that you sent a worker into my path to bring me into a kingdom relationship with you.  I ask you to send workers out into the harvest field.  I also offer myself as a worker.  Show me where I can work in the harvest field today.  In Jesus’ name.  Amen.
