What is faith? It is the confident assurance that what we hope for is going to happen. It is the evidence of things we cannot yet see. Hebrews 11:1 (NLT)
We all have faith in things we cannot see. For those of you sitting down, you have faith that the item you are sitting on is going to hold you and not break. We have faith when we come to a green stoplight that those with red lights are going to stay stopped. We have faith our car will start when we run an errand or are leaving for work.
How much more should we have faith in God? He loved us enough to send His Son to die in our place that we would be saved (John 3:16). We have to believe in God’s love for us. We have to believe that He wants to do good things in us and for us. Knowing that He is a loving God gives us the confident assurance that what we hope for will happen even when we don’t see it.
