Be Content (Part 2)

Be Content (Part 2)

…I’ve learned to be content in whatever situations I’m in… I can do everything through Christ who strengthens me. Philippians 4:11, 13 (GW)

Content is defined as being in a state of peaceful happiness. According to 2 Corinthians 6:3-10 and 2 Corinthians 11:16-33, Paul had been through hard times. He was beaten, put in prison, shipwrecked, stoned, and robbed. But in all this, he learned to be content in whatever situation he was in. Paul knew where his strength came from. He could do anything he needed to because his strength didn’t come from himself, but it came from his relationship with Christ.

We can also learn to be content in any situation. We learn to rely on Christ for the strength we need to get through any situation. Since we have His strength to get through, we can live in a state of peaceful happiness knowing we are not on our own. Be content.

Prayer:
God, thank you for being my strength. I choose to be content in whatever situation comes my way. Remind me today that I can do all things through you, no matter what happens. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
