Keep It Simple

Keep It Simple

I do want to point out, friends, that time is of the essence. There is no time to waste, so don’t complicate your lives unnecessarily. Keep it simple—in marriage, grief, joy, whatever. Even in ordinary things—your daily routines of shopping, and so on. Deal as sparingly as possible with the things the world thrusts on you. This world as you see it is on its way out. 1 Corinthians 7:29-31 (MSG)

Each of us have daily routines. We have jobs to perform, children to take care of, homes to clean and shopping to complete. We should remember not to make our lives too complicated. The activities we perform here are just temporary. God wants us to live a full life, but He wants to remind us that our time here is short. Our focus should be on the important things. We should not waste our time on things that are unimportant. Keep it simple.

Prayer:
God, thank you for this reminder. Show me the areas in my life where I need to simplify things. Help me to focus on what’s important in life. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
