Be still, and know that I am God; Psalm 46:10 (NIV)
When we know God and His character, we can be confident in what He is able to accomplish. God spoke the heavens and the earth into existence. We can see He was able to deliver His people from slavery. God was also able to provide for their needs while they were wandering in the desert. He sent His Son into the world to make a way for us to have a relationship with Him. He promised to complete the work He began in us. Because we know God’s character, we can be still. We can have confidence in the plans He has for us. We can rest in His plans for our future. It is time to be still.
Prayer:
God, thank you for the reminder of your character. You are a good God who cares for me. I will choose to remember that you have plans for my life and I am confident about my future. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
